Warranty

We know the value of security, so every pre-owned watch we sell comes with a 12 Month Warranty alongside any remaining Manufacturer's Warranty it may also have.

If your watch develops a fault and is still covered by warranty, you can return it to us to be diagnosed by submitting a warranty enquiry. If the fault is covered by the warranty, it will be repaired free of charge.

Warranty diagnosis takes 5 working days, with the repair time quoted once the diagnosis has been made. If your watch is covered only by the manufacturer's warranty, it will need to be sent to the manufacturer.

Our promise to replace the item or refund your money does not apply to faults or damages caused by accident, neglect or misuse.

Automatic Movement

Automatic watches can run out of power while being worn if your movements aren't sufficient to keep the mainspring fully wound.

Mechanical Movement

If your watch is mechanical, it may need winding. A mechanical watch will usually need around 40 rotations of the crown from completely unwound — a manual watch will resist when full, an automatic will go on winding forever. The crown on water resistant watches may need unscrewing before you begin.

Quartz Movement

If your watch has a quartz movement, it might need a change of battery.

Part exchange

Yes we accept part exchanges. Let us know the make/model of your watch and whether it has Box & Papers with it, we will then give you an estimate of how much we are prepared to pay for it.

You can then send us your watch or drop it off at the Store, and after an inspection by our in-House Watchmaker, we will issue you a final offer. If you’re happy with this, we will complete your order and dispatch your new watch.

Please note we don't accept all brands so be sure to mention this prior to the sale.

Because we are an independent Luxury Watch retailer we don't have the same extortionate overheads that most of the commercial companies do. This allows us to offer you the most competitive quotes for your luxury timepiece.

Servicing and repairs

A watch contains on average around 150 parts, some of which experience high forces on a continuous basis. As its a working machine, it needs servicing regularly to maintain its function, appearance and value. This is especially important if it’s automatic watch.

How often it needs to be done varies from brand to brand but to keep the performance of your watch at its best, it is recommended that you service the watch every three to five years.

If you’re unsure about when your watch needs servicing, please refer to the documentation provided with the watch. Or you can speak to one of our watch specialists and book an appointment today.

Every watch service, repair and refurbishment by our in-house skilled Watch Maker is followed by testing for accuracy, efficiency and water resistance, ensuring that each watch falls within the manufacturer’s specified tolerance before being returned to its owner.

Yes, we have our very own skilled Watchmakers who will do everything they can to help you restore yours. Just take it down to our Showroom where a member of our team will give you an estimate for the cost of repair.

In some cases, we may recommend returning it to the manufacturer for repair. We’ll be able to give you progress updates and will let you know when it’s ready to be collected.

WIND YOUR WATCH DAILY

Watches should not be left idle for long periods of time. If the watch is left unused and unwound, the gears will start to stiffen and the watch will not work as efficiently. You want the oils in the movement to keep lubricating it. You can also use a Watch-winder. Stop once you feel resistance as overwinding can damage movements.

STORING YOUR WATCH

When not being worn, your watch should be stored in a quality box away from damp and extreme temperatures. The watch's original box is an ideal storage place.

AVOID MAGNETIC FIELDS

We are exposed to magnetic fields every day when we use computer screens and other electronic devices. Strong magnetic fields can magnetise your watch and cause deviations from the correct time. Therefore, you should remove your watch during x-rays, while going through airport security, etc., and avoid placing it on speakers or other similar devices.

Give your watch a gentle clean every now and again using a cotton bud and warm water to remove dirt around the case and bracelet.

Moisture can affect the appearance of a Leather strap, so make sure that it does not come into contact with water, perfume, grease etc.

You can also take into any jeweller who will be able to give it a 'Polish' to remove any fine scratches on the metal strap.

Selling my watch

We accept a wide range of time pieces, however our particular focus is on independent watchmakers and high-end brands such as Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Cartier etc. If you believe it may be of interest to us, please get in touch, and we will be happy to assess it.

To receive a free appraisal of your watch, simply fill out the form on our website. There, you only need to provide us with basic information like age, whether or not you have the box and guarantee certificate and so on. After submitting the form, our experts will receive your data and use it to provide you with a first appraisal of your watch's worth.

We take a data-driven approach and rely on current market dynamics to our valuations in order to narrow down the appropriate price for a time piece. Several other factors are also taken into consideration, such as historical sales prices,
the age and condition of the piece as well as certificates for validity.

The reference number alone doesn't contain all details and so we need a picture of the watch face to give you an appraisal estimate that is as precise as possible.

Once you submitting the form, it will be reviewed by our team of experts. Based on the information you submitted, they will tell you whether we would like to purchase it and at what price (subject to inspection). To move on with the sale, you will then be asked to send us the watch for inspection. After receiving it, our team of expert watchmakers will inspect it thoroughly. Following this standardised process, we will make you an offer with our final price. To complete the sale, you just have to accept our bid.

We will transfer the money to you immediately after you have confirmed our offer. Depending on your bank, the transfer may take up to 5 working days (usually 1-2).

As we do not have extortionate overheads like some of the big retailers we are in a better position to pay our customers more then any one else. This allows us to offer you the most competitive quotes for your luxury timepiece.

A photo ID must be provided with proof your current address e.g Photo Drivers Licence and a UK Bank Account.
